WELCOME TO MEND UK
MEND UK is a charity set up in July 2005 to support MEND in Palestine’s projects working with children and youth. Our main priority is to help young Palestinians believe in the possibility of a safe, normal and non-violent future, and thus to break the cycle of violence.
MEND UK has minimal costs and all donations received are passed onto MEND Palestine with only small deductions, Audited accounts are submitted by MEND Palestine to account for all funding raised in the UK, and these are approved by the trustees of MEND.
‘In my experience, Peace is established by people working together in small committed groups, such as those of MEND. Those who share MEND's values of non-violence, personal responsibility and civic pride are pioneers in the search for a peaceful settlement in the Middle East. I applaud MEND'S excellent work across the region and I whole heartedly encourage others to do the same.’ |
Mary Robinson,
Chair of the Ethical Globalization Initiative,
Former President of Ireland
& former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights |

" There is so much violence in Israel and the occupied territories that an organisation such as MEND is an enormous asset at a difficult time. I have no difficulty in being quoted as a strong supporter of your objective of seeking social progress through non-violence and democracy in Palestine and in the wider region."
Sir Malcolm Rifkind, MP
